The Paine College Chapter, The Epsilon Psi Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc., was charted on the campus of Paine College in Augusta, Georgia on the 24th Day of May 1970. The Brothers of Augusta Alumni met and discussed forming an Undergraduate Chapter on the Paine College Campus. Brother David M. Dupree (Elder Watson Diggs Awardee) and Bernard Morgan (Joseph R. Jenkins Awardee) led the charge in establishing an undergraduate chapter. Brothers Herman Golden, James Rountree, J. W. Perry, William Prince, and Dave Mack Jr. all met with Brothers Dupree and Morgan at the Augusta Alumni Fraternity House on 15th Street.

These young men exhibited dedication to Academic Excellence, Campus Leadership, Community Involyement and Fraternity Knowledge thus earning the name "The History Chapter" of the Southeastern Province. On May 24th 1970 Province Polemarch Joseph A. Johnson Chartered the Epsilon Psi Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi to the Southeastern Province.
There have been a significant number of Brothers from Epsilon Psi that has made, making, and will make outstanding achievements in every field of human endeavor.

Brother Dr. Henry Ingram - Fall 1971 - 1st Black Elected to the Augusta Aviation Board (Bush Field), Honorary Doctorate from Paine College, and Chairman of Augusta Economic Development Commission.
Attorney Dr. Robert Bell - Fall 1971 - Honorary Doctorate from Paine College, Chairman of the Board of Trustees at Paine College. (1 0yrs)
Officer Gregory Henderson - Spring 1975 - 1st Black Police Chief Medical College of Georgia. Assistant Chief Deputy of Atlanta Fulton County.
Dr. Lester Jackson - Fall 1978 - House of Representative State of Georgia (2008 - 2010), State Senator (2010-2024) for the State of Georgia, Served on the Board of Trustees at Paine College.
